Luther began performing on saxophone with local jazz and rhythm & blues ensemble “Just Us Band” out of Augusta, GA. Luther began his professional performing career with US military bands, performing and teaching throughout the United States and Europe. He has led a multitude of ensembles that perform Soul, Jazz, Funk, and alternative styles. Currently, Luther is a senior enlisted musician serving at the Maneuver Center of Excellence Band at Fort Moore, Georgia as well as performer in the Columbus, Georgia, and surrounding areas

Luther earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Alabama A&M University and Master’ of Education in Music from Boston University, with a concentration in Community and Popular Music. Luther gained valuable experience as a music educator and performer for over 20 years.
